I don’t know about you, but that little slice of freedom tasted good, before the weather turned again and BBQs in the sunshine were replaced with snow showers!
Finally, after weeks and weeks confined to our homes, lockdown is beginning to ease. And with beautiful weather across much of the country, I’m sure that plenty of us are taking the opportunity to meet with family and friends over the next few days.
It’s been a reflective time for the whole country this week, as we marked a year since the first national lockdown.
Last week I spoke about our brand new combination display building; part ‘place to get your head down and get something done’ and part ‘place to store all your tools’.
The Shields Buildings story is a long one. After all, we’ve been around for 30 years this month, so we’ve had our fair share of twists and turns.
While it’s cooled down a little bit over the last couple of days, and there are a few more showers on the agenda, I think it’s fair to say that the weather’s turned the corner in the last week. After the bleak midwinter, the daffodils are out, and it really does feel like there are reasons for optimism everywhere.
There’s no one thing that makes our buildings great. Instead, it’s a combination of expert craftsmanship, high quality materials and hard-won experience.
It’s half term this week, which means our girls are at home…no change there then!
It’s -1 degree here in North Tawton, so it’s fair to say that no grass is growing right now.
