How to pick the perfect timber workshop

Which Timber Workshop is Right For Me?

Timber workshops are a great solution to that age-old problem… not having enough space in your home for a hobby, craft or just for storage.

Maybe you’ve got motorbikes, bicycles, kayaks, or a load of things that are pretty bulky and you’d quite like a purpose-built storage area for them.

Or maybe you’ve got all of your pottery equipment stuffed in the back bedroom. Whatever it is, a timber workshop can be the answer.

But here’s the thing… how you do know which timber workshop is right for you? Thankfully, we’re here to help on that front.

Timber Workshops – What’s The Difference?

Bespoke timber workshopAnyone with a loft will tell you that it quickly fills up with various items you forget about, which is precisely what you want to avoid here.

The good news is that whatever you’re looking for, we can help find the timber workshop that’s right for you.

Whatever it’s for, we work WITH you to design your perfect space. The team at de Bathe Farm then works their magic to build and install it for you.

Simple, right?

There’s a big difference in how it’s designed and configured depending on what the purpose of your workshop will be, though.

As with any outbuilding, you’ve probably got a vague image in your mind of what you’d do with it. But the benefit of designing a purpose-built timber workshop is that you’re not left with more space to fill.

Whatever your hobby is. Whether you’re a Vespa enthusiast, a whizz at pottery, handy with woodwork or you’re just looking for a space that’s truly your own. Either way, we can help you achieve it.

Is A Timber Workshop The Same As A Shed?

Well, sort of. In the sense that it’s a building outdoors that you can store things in or use for another purpose.

But the idea is for it to be so much more. All of our workshops are over 3.5m x 3m, which means they’re classed as ‘larger buildings’. That’s great news for you because it means that whatever you’ve got planned, you’ve got more than enough space to do it.

Well, unless you’re planning on building a 1:1 scale model of a spitfire in there, I suppose.

It can also be insulated. This way when it inevitably gets dark, wet, and cold for half of the year, you can still get the best use out of it.

The choice you’ve got to make is whether a 3.5m x 3m or a 4m x 3m timber workshop better suits your needs. And we can help you there.

Do I really need to insulate my garden building?
