We’re on the cusp of September, and even though it’s been a fair few years since I left full-time education, the ninth month of the year is still indelibly linked to one thing:

Back to school

For me, it’s always been the month of new beginnings, and that’s definitely the case for the Shields family – Beth got into Reading, (a seriously proud parent moment!), so both she and Ellie will be off/back to uni in just a couple of weeks.

I’m not quite sure how I’ll feel with an empty-ish nest, but I’m so excited for them both to embark on their next chapters.
