We had a delightful few days off last week, celebrating my mum’s birthday down in Sussex. As tends to happen when my mother and I get together, quite a few gardens were visited, and it was just delightful to see the natural world on the cusp of spring.
The snowdrops were already out for all to see, and the rest of the spring flowers were just making their way through, marking the winding down of winter.
We stayed at a beautiful country house hotel, which just felt royal, and as it turns out, there was a reason for that – before it became a hotel, HM Queen Elizabeth stayed there regularly, which got us wondering whether we’d ended up in the Queen’s bedroom!
The thing that made the house so amazing was the little details – the intricate architraves, the cavernous doorways, the blends of colours – it clearly hadn’t been thrown together. And that’s what you get when you stay in a building fit for a queen.
Whilst we don’t create palaces, or even country houses, we are painstaking in making sure that what we design and craft is exactly what our clients want.
We’ll consider what you will use the building for, and the specific features that are non-negotiable, and create something that will last for many years, and bring joy throughout that time too.
And if spring is tapping you on the shoulder and telling you that it’s time to get started on your timber garden building, you know where we are…
