As the saying goes, ‘where there’s a will, there’s a way’, and it’s a maxim we’ve definitely tested over the years. You see, while most people see significant value in a timber garden building, plenty of customers come to us unsure whether their dreams can be turned into reality.
They’ve got something in mind, but they’ve got doubts too.
And the biggest issue?
Space.
The truth is that not everyone’s garden is perfectly designed to accommodate a garden building, but we’ve always loved a challenge! One such challenge presented to us this year was a tool shed for Mr H.
The shed had to fit in behind a wall in the garden, which meant a smaller base, bespoke sizing on the shed walls, and a lot of dexterity from the installation team! The space made a double door impossible, but rather than settle for a single, we created a ‘door and a half’, giving plenty of space for the doorway, while still conforming to the space we had available to us.
There was also a big need for internal shelving, so we designed in a smaller opening window to maximise the amount of wall space for shelves. Oh, and we also popped a very useful log store on the side of the shed for Mrs H to store her logs – two birds, with one stone, in a rather confined space!
If you’ve been umming and aahing about your garden building, and you’re not convinced you’ve really got the space – give us a call, we’ll talk it through, and the chances are we’ll find something that works!
