You might have seen that Banksy’s popped up again – a brand new piece appeared last week in Margate. Despite the joy of a new Banksy being discovered, that joy is tempered with the subject matter, which is pretty heavy.
But that’s the thing about art – important things can be said without using a single word, and I’ll forever be bowled over by the creative ability of artists like Banksy to communicate powerful ideas without using traditional language.
If I’m honest though, I do often fear for the arts – I read just the other day that apparently some robot can now do pretty good copies of famous artists’ work. I don’t know the answer to combatting AI, but I do know that I really don’t want all of our art to be churned out by a computer, and that’s why I’m delighted that a decent proportion of the timber garden buildings we produce go to artists.
Painters, sculptors, writers, the list goes on – they all need a place to practise their craft, and that’s where a garden building comes in.
A garden building that hasn’t been designed by a robot, but instead has been thoughtfully designed and created by an experienced craftsperson who’s considered exactly what the customer needs from it, and created something that meets those needs to a tee.
Whether you’re a creative or not, if a timber garden building is on your radar this year, we should start talking ASAP – the sooner we do, the better chance we have of guaranteeing your delivery date. Just get in touch to chat through your needs.
