John and I have just returned from one of the best holidays we’ve EVER had – 7 days sailing around the Adriatic.

And just in case you had visions of John shouting “Starboard”, the Shields aren’t sailors; we were strictly there in a holiday capacity.

It was an incredible trip, which I’d recommend to anyone – we were on a small ship, hosting a small number of holidaymakers from all over the globe, and we went to some amazing places, from Split to Korcula, Hvar to Dubrovnik.

We swam, we explored, we chatted, we ate, we drank – it really was spectacular.

And we return, bustling with energy, as one should after a holiday, and ready to crack on make the rest of 2023 as fantastic as possible.

We’re into October now, which I can scarcely believe, which means we’re now less than three months until the end of the year.

There are many things I’d told myself I needed to do before 2024 arrived, and now I’ve got the determination and mental energy to get on with them.

And it begs the question: what else did you tell yourself you wanted to do this year?
