It was blowing a gale here on Saturday, but I was determined to make the most of the sunshine, so I got outside and started tidying up the roses in the courtyard. Although I felt rather buffeted by the wind, every once in a while, it palled, and I could feel the warmth of the sun on my back, making me excited for the spring that’s just around the corner.
Gardening’s always been one of my hobbies – there’s nothing like getting your hands in the earth and having a good old think, and this weekend, there was one event that occupied my mind:
The Jubilee.
70 years on the throne is quite some achievement, and it deserves to be celebrated, which millions of us plan to do in June. It promises to be a fantastic British occasion, of the sort that we’re very good at as a nation.
Plenty of party plans are in motion all over the country, and with less than four months to go, I’m predicting some frenzied gardening as people get ready to host their parties!
And if you’re looking for a place to serve your food and drink, and a shelter people can retreat to if the weather gets a little too British, then a garden summerhouse could be just the thing you need.
We generally see a big surge in garden summerhouse interest around now, as people prepare for June, July and August, so if you’re starting that journey, click here to check out what’s on offer.
