Tofurkey?

We’re all familiar with the concept of sandwiching two words together to make a brand new word. And the internet reliably informs me they’re called “portmanteaus”.

There are the common ones – brunch, infomercial, chocaholic – and the rather less common ones – animatronics, webinar, tofurkey. (Still wondering about tofurkey?  Apparently, it’s tofu made to taste like turkey…)

Anyway, there’s a portmanteau that’s taking the world of garden buildings by storm, and that’s “shoffice” – a combination building offering both a shed and an office, all under one roof.

They’re growing massively in popularity at the moment – more people want to work from home or want a place to get away from it all, but they also don’t want to lose shed space; after all, that lawnmower has to live somewhere!

The shoffice solves that problem by providing the best of both worlds.
