I haven’t got the worst eyesight in the world, but it’s certainly not 20/20, which is why I found myself on Okehampton High Street on Saturday, five minutes early for my opticians appointment. The world of glasses is a funny one, with designer frames and specially coated lenses at one end of the spectrum, and cheapo “off the shelf” glasses from supermarkets and pharmacies at the other.
I can understand the appeal of the specs at the cheaper end - after all, if all you want to do is a bit of reading, and your prescription’s pretty minor, then it’s easy to conclude that an off the shelf solution can do the job.
And often, it can.
The issues come if you’ve got a slightly more complex problem, which needs a more bespoke solution.
And generally speaking, the cheap ‘one size fits all’ glasses won’t last as long either, so you’ll end up replacing them a few times.
Unsurprisingly, it’s the same thing with timber garden buildings.
If you want a cheap and cheerful shed, you’re not fussed about the dimensions and you don’t mind buying another one in a few years, then that’s exactly what you should do.
But if you want:
…then a bespoke building is what you need.
And if you want to avoid that ‘Should have gone to Specsavers’ moment, then give us a call and let’s get started!
