Mr G visited us on one of our Open Saturdays and was highly impressed by the garages on show – together we spent a long time looking at buildings, and working out the right options for him, as well as additions, like synthetic slate roof tiles and anthracite uPVC windows to help the garages blend in with the modern main building.
To overcome building regulations and ensure that there was enough space for the cars, we advised having two separate buildings. This solution also had another knock-on benefit of practicality – the site was sloping, and it was easier and more effective to have two separate concrete pads.
We did a site visit to discuss all the options, measure up and get all the details needed to prepare the planning application. At this stage, a decision was made to have personnel doors in each building, allowing Mr G to pop between his two garages without having to go around the outside of the building.
