Timber SummerhouseBack to Lifestyle Timber Buildings
Timber Summerhouses have glazed doors and deep windows for a light airy feel. We offer tongue and groove pine lining of the interior – giving you a bright, natural garden room.
Our most popular size Summerhouse is 3m wide x 2.5m deep and comes with an attractive natural cedar shingle apex roof, giving plenty of room and height inside.
As an alternative, where the roof height must not exceed 2.5m high to avoid planning permission, the pent roof version with a plastisol steel roof may be the right choice for you.
Designed for you
Your timber summerhouse is designed for you, to suit your needs and to the specification that you require. You can have your own beautiful Summerhouse that provides the space that you want, as with all our buildings you’re not tied to a standard size.
You may like to add a solid wood floor in oak, ash or walnut, giving an affordable feeling of permanent luxury in your building.
Make the most of long evenings in your summerhouse by adding lights and a power point.
All the external timber we use is northern European redwood, from sustainable and well managed sources. It is pressure treated, for two reasons - to protect against attack from wood boring beetles or termites and against fungal decay. The colour fades over time, but the chemicals carry on working to keep your building as good as new. Your bespoke timber Summerhouse will be given extra protection against the weather with two coats of water proofer, or if you prefer, it can be painted in a wide range of colours giving a personal touch.
You have a range of roofing options to choose from – an apex roof with a natural finish of cedar shingles or long lasting plastisol steel sheeting in a range of colours to enhance your new building and blend in with your garden.
To make the most of your views, a veranda and decking can be added. This will not only enhance the appearance and the usefulness of your summerhouse, but will provide somewhere lovely for you to sit and relax.
Do you need Planning Permission?
A question that we get asked regularly is ‘Do I need planning permission for my new timber garden building?’ Many garden buildings will not need permission, but you are always advised to check first, or give us a call if you need more help.
As this can often be a bit daunting we offer a Planning Application service to help you. Let our experienced team prepare and submit the application for you along with the detailed drawings and plans required.
