Posh Shed - The structure
All of our buildings are built to order from high quality, sustainably sourced materials.
As standard, our sheds and workshop include –
- Pressure treated timber framework in floor, walls and roof
- A heavy duty 18mm OSB3 floor
- Pressure treated, Northern European, slow grown Redwood shiplap cladding
- A breathable wall membrane for premium weatherproofing
- Long lasting, maintenance free plastisol coated, steel roof sheets
- Black PVC guttering and downpipes

The customer in question had a good idea of what he wanted – a bespoke workshop that could be used partly for woodworking, and partly for exercise; two fairly diverse interests that needed tying together.
Nick visited the display site, with his drawings and designs, and together we came up with a building that fulfilled all the requirements.
The design itself was extremely bespoke, featuring an insulated floor by our team, with larger wall timbers so that the customer could insulate and line the rest himself, as and when he had the time to do so.
In addition, the design also featured internal partition walls, creating two separate rooms, with precise window and door placements in order to accommodate the customer’s woodworking machinery.

Simon had recently moved and had a lovely big new garden, but with no outbuildings. As he’d downsized, what he really needed was a workshop to store everything which previously had a place in his old property. John was able to advise on the size of a suitable building to keep within permitted development rights.

Q: How long does the design and build process take?
A: We like to keep things simple and flexible. It all starts with a free quotation, site visit (where we discuss your ideas and assess the space) or you’re also very welcome to visit our display site to see the quality of our buildings in person and gather inspiration. We can usually create a design within a week or so, depending on the complexity.
From the point of order, our typical lead time is around 8–12 weeks, and on-site installation usually takes between 2 and 8 days (sometimes longer) — varying with the size and style of your building.
