Product Options
The Base
A strong, level foundation is essential. We advise and install a base appropriate to your site. All included in our costs.
The Roof
Choose from a pent sloped or apex pitched roof and materials that suit your aesthetic and site. Superior insulation and weather protection are built-in as standard.
The Exterior Finishes
Two coats of a waterproofer are applied as standard to preserve the character of the wood, stained or painted upgrades are available to add a personal touch. A wide variety or door and window styles are also available.
The Interior
Choose your internal lining and finishing, why not opt for our internal decoration option to leave you with a building that is ready to use upon completion, no DIY decorating required.

A: We prepare the building for audio/ and visual equipment. While we do not install all the electronics ourselves, we ensure your room is ready for a projector, screen, surround sound or gaming console.

Q: How long does installation take?

Photos can only tell you so much though. The best way to understand a Shields building is to stand inside one, look up at the ceiling height, feel the natural light and run your hand over timber that’s all made here on our farm.
That’s why most of our projects start with a visit. You can wander round garden rooms, offices, studios, garages and more at your own pace, with no pressure and no sales pitch. Take your time, picture it in your own garden and chat to the team about what’s possible whenever you’re ready.
We’re open Monday to Saturday, so come and see us whenever suits you. There’s no appointment needed during the week, and if you’re popping by at the weekend a quick call ahead means someone will be on hand to talk things through.
