Studio with veranda

Shaken, not stirred

After what seems like an eternity, 007 is back, and based on the box office from the opening weekend, it’s likely to be the biggest selling Bond of all time. For most of us, it’ll be our first trip to the cinema for a long, long time, with the pandemic putting paid to the big screen for much of the last two years.

And in that time, many of us have done our best to recreate the cinema experience at home – big screen, comfy seats and gallons of popcorn.

I’ll whisper it: I might just prefer it.

Creating your own movie environment means you can pause it whenever you want, dress in your comfies and avoid the people who laugh just a little too loudly, and it won’t surprise me if it’s only the blockbusters like Bond that gets people traipsing off to their local Odeon.

Of course, the key to home cinema viewing is having the right space, and over the last couple of years, we’ve seen plenty of customers opt for dedicated movie watching/chillout spaces in their timber garden buildings.

Whether you want somewhere to burn your way through the Bond back catalogue, or somewhere the kids can be squirreled away with the Playstation, a Shields Building could be just the thing – email sales@shieldsbuildings.co.uk or give us a call and we’ll be delighted to help.
