For many of us, it’s now ‘back to work’ after the first bank holiday weekend of the year. Except for many, it’s back to work in a very different way to usual.
Of course, John and I always work from home – that’s the beauty of having a husband who can make garden buildings – but from speaking to friends and family, I know that lots of people are finding it quite challenging.
Having a very different focus in the same environment you’ve just been spending the bank holiday in is easier said than done, and whilst it’s a privilege that many of us are able to work from home, I’m under no illusions about the fact that it’s not the easiest thing to do – particularly with the kids at home too!
Despite the challenges, in conversations with people interested in buildings in recent weeks, it’s become clear that working from home is appealing for many of us; it’s just having the space to do it properly.
And if you’ve been working from home, and you’re thinking you might like the option of doing it more once this is all over, then it’s well worth considering a garden room – a dedicated area where you can focus.
If you’d like to talk about how best to make that happen, what you need to be thinking about and the kind of budget you need to be looking at, just give us a call.
