A couple of months ago, we were due to visit a customer’s property to install a home office. He’d decided he wanted to work from home a bit more, and needed somewhere to do it.
His timber garden office was pretty much constructed in our workshop…
The date for installation was in the diary…
You know what happened next. Non-essential travel, social distancing, closure of businesses and furloughed staff meant that delivering and installing buildings was impossible.
Which, in turn, meant no home office for our customer during lockdown.
He’s been patient as a saint, and waited for it dutifully, which made it all the sweeter when last week we were finally able to install it for him.
The dining room table can now be swapped for the space and serenity of his very own home office; a building that’s likely to get a lot of use over the next few weeks and months!
For us, it was a marvellous feeling. It marked the end of the era of full lockdown, and into a new phase.
A phase where we have to keep being careful, but one where we’re able to get on with our lives and do the things we want and need to do.
It feels like we’ve all been hibernating, but as spring turns to summer, we’re waking up, coming out of the woodwork (no pun intended), and making up for lost time.
If you’ve been sitting on your plans for a timber garden office, then now may be the time to unfurl them again, and take action – we’re more than ready to take action with you.
