I usually try to look on the bright side of life, and with both of my girls back at school, and a busy September at Shields Buildings, things have definitely been on the up. Don’t get me wrong, they still are, but the introduction of the 'rule of six' this week is a reminder that we’ve got a difficult winter ahead of us, and that I should make sure I’m stocking up on home comforts!
We all tend to spend more time indoors during the winter, whether it’s curling up on the sofa with a good book, drawing the curtains and watching a film or digging out the board games, but the amount of time looks likely to increase this year.
And for lots of people, it might not just be leisure time – many of us are still working away at home right now, and that might be the case until next Spring.
The question is: how good is your work-from-home set-up?
If you’re currently sitting at the dining room table, or in a summerhouse, there’s every chance that the arrangement’s going to wear pretty thin by Christmas, and if you’re starting to see working from home as a medium to long term thing, maybe it’s time to finally bite the bullet and get an insulated garden office?
The sooner you get in touch, the sooner we can get an installation date in and the sooner you can have your dining room table back!
