What a weekend! Millions turned out to celebrate the Jubilee – a fitting occasion to commemorate an extraordinary 70 years on the throne.
And for me there were two big highlights – one slow, and one anything but…
John’s been busy for the last few months, restoring a 1953 grey Fergie tractor in time for the vintage vehicle parade which formed a key part of the Jubilee festivities here in North Tawton.
And he managed it – John and the Fergie took pride of place, leading the vintage vehicles through the town; John was rather pleased as you can see from the photo!
It wasn’t the fastest procession in the world; the Fergie’s top speed is 13mph, and on Saturday we experienced the exact opposite – the Red Arrows roaring their way over on the way to the south coast.
Their top speed? A truly astonishing 645mph. Quite the contrast!
It got me thinking about how we need both extremes of speed in our lives – sometimes we need to work around the clock to get everything done, moving at breakneck speed to achieve something.
Other times, we want to relax, and move at a pace that’s positively glacial.
And over the years, we’ve constructed hundreds of garden buildings for both ends of the spectrum – bolt holes to while away the summer afternoons, workshops designed to be incredibly productive, and everything in between.
Wherever you are on the spectrum, we can create the timber garden building you need – you just have to ask, call us on 01837 82442.
