It was rather inevitable wasn’t it? Rather than those two beautiful 20 degree days heralding in the next stage of lockdown easing and the Grand Reopening of the Beer Garden, the temperatures have plunged rather considerably now.
And it’s not just been cold. It’s also been wet.
The heavens have opened more than once, issuing not just a spot of rain, but snow, sleet and hail too.
I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised, but that doesn’t stop me hoping for a rapid increase in temperature so we can go and enjoy a drink outside and get back to life as we once knew it. Having said all that, it has proved a useful reminder that no matter the season, the weather has the ability to surprise and frustrate us.
And for those of us that own vehicles, safeguarding against the power of those elements is a very smart move, which is why we continue to see large demand for our carports, including from the Shields family ourselves!
As I mentioned a few weeks back, work is now underway on our very own double carport, which should prove a useful example of what’s possible for our customers, as well as keeping our cars shielded from the rain. We’re making great progress on it, as you can see from the picture, but - as with all things - customers come first, so I’m not holding my breath on an imminent finish!
If you’d like to check in on how we’re getting on, or you want to view any of our display buildings, feel free to pop over whenever is convenient for you, or call us to book an appointment and we’ll make sure that someone’s here to help you.
