21st century garage

It’s a bit of an understatement to say we’ve been busy over the last few months. The reality is that ever since Lockdown 1 ended we’ve experienced – wait for it – unprecedented demand for our buildings.

Which – of course – is great news; it really is a joy for us to be able to help more people enhance their gardens and improve their experience of their home environment.

The increased volume of orders has also given us a great insight into what people’s priorities are now, and in the future – we’re doing more home offices than ever before, as an example.

And one “extra” which is now standing out every single week is the addition of electricity on pretty much every single garage or carport.

It’s always been pretty smart to have some power points in your garage, but with the electric car revolution now upon us, having power available to ensure you can charge a car overnight has become more of a priority than ever before. By 2030, electric cars are likely to be very common indeed, which means the need for charging access will be greater than ever.

If you are thinking about a garage now or in the future, it’s something well worth considering – the last thing you want is to end up with a garage that’s not actually fit for purpose!
