Mr E was looking for a suitable storage shed for his new mower. Thing is, the space he’d picked for it to go was atop a steep slope. Together, we worked towards a solution that would allow him to drive the mower into the shed. That’s what a ride-on mower’s for, right?
Without a doubt, the slope was the biggest challenge to this job. We levelled the access route using compacted quarry stone in front of the doors, and created a pair of wooden ramps to fit the slope. Then, to take the mower’s weight, we constructed the shed’s base using concrete blocks to support the timber floor.
Thanks to the large, wide doors fitted with a high security lock, Mr E’s mower now resides in a secure and easily-accessible, bespoke new store. There’s plenty of room on either side of the mower too, and a bench in front of the window. It’s a clever little building, and one that we’re very pleased with it and so is the customer!
