Working Together
This project started back in 2023 when a simple carport enquiry came in.
But, as often happens, other things got in the way, and it was another 12 months before the customers were ready to proceed.
As it turns out, while they were ready, it wasn’t quite plain sailing from that point on, as you’ll read below, but by working together with Shields, they got there in the end.
Overcoming Obstacles
Following a site visit from our team, it was clear that the original plot was just a little too small for what the customer was trying to achieve.
Rather than compromising, the customer looked next door—and ended up buying the whole field!
It’s certainly one of the bolder moves we’ve seen, but it definitely solved the space issue and allowed for a better layout, including an extra enclosed section for storage. A great example of teamwork, creative thinking and a reward for being brave!
What Was Achieved
The result is a beautiful oak fronted carport with a matching garage, complete with a synthetic slate roof to tie in with the style of the house. There’s a spacious bay for parking and a secure storage area too – perfect for keeping everything tidy and protected. Practical, stylish, and built to last.
