Shields Buildings have worked with the National Trust on many occasions and contacted us when they wanted a brand new sales and reception building at Antony House at Torpoint in Cornwall. Following the success of the Alice in Wonderland filming that had been done they were expecting an increase in ticket sales.
As the new building needed to enhance and bend in with the historic site it was painted in soft pastel shades, using opaque paint. This was which complemented by the coloured plastisol steel roof sheeting.
What Was Achieved
This super studio style building was used for both ticket sales and to sign up new members. In its first year it welcomed 90,000 people and not only looked nice but stood up to the task perfectly.
"Thanks for yet another fantastic job. Everyone who has seen the building has admired it and was amazed at the speed of construction. Please pass on our thanks to your very professional team. "
