James and Liz wanted a garden room they could use all year round, so they could enjoy the beautiful views of the moor from the top of their garden.
The room needed to be multipurpose – cosy enough to spend time and relax in when they were alone, and big enough to entertain their grandchildren in comfort.
The building needed to be installed at the top of a very steep garden, and access was impossible via the garden – thankfully we could access the site area via a small carpark behind the top of the garden.
And with the garden at quite an acute angle, levelling everything up was easier said than done, but we got to work!
We crafted and installed a 6m x 4.2m studio, with two sets of double doors and a window, as well as a roof canopy, giving them a covered seating areas in front of one of the doors, while the other doors open out onto a patio area.
We positioned the doors to allow space for their log burner, ensuring that they can keep it warm as winter sets in.
James and Liz are delighted with their ‘shed’ and spend more time in it than they do their house, they love being able to sit and enjoy the views surrounded by their lovely garden and enjoying the bird song – it really is a truly delightful spot!
