From our first meeting, it was clear that the customer had a clear vision for a space that would be both practical and inviting — a building that could serve as a light-filled studio while also providing much-needed storage. Together, we explored a range of design options to create a bespoke garden studio and shed combination that complemented their home and garden in West Devon.
Overcoming Obstacles
Every project comes with its challenges, and this one was no exception. Access to the garden was limited, with a narrow archway and several steps leading down to the site. To ensure a smooth installation, our workshop team carefully designed and constructed the building panels so they could be carried through the space without difficulty. Another hurdle arose when the customer discovered that, although they owned their freehold flat, planning approval was still required for the new building. Our team handled the entire application process promptly and efficiently, securing permission without delay. With everything in place, the installation went ahead smoothly, and the client was soon enjoying their new garden studio and shed.

The finished building is a true reflection of the client’s vision and our bespoke approach to design. Every element was tailored to their needs, from the split layout to the precise orientation of the structure, positioned to capture stunning views across the valley. The insulated sunroom provides a warm and comfortable space to relax, play games, and enjoy time with friends and family all year round. Alongside it, the integrated shed offers sleek, practical storage that blends seamlessly with the overall design, creating a compact yet stylish addition to the garden that perfectly balances form and function.
